Here in the frozen tundra, I’ve got some serious cabin fever happening and am missing the closeness to nature that is a part of city living there.
One of my favorite things about Boise is the Boise River, which runs right through the middle of the city. Unlike the Mississippi, the Boise is clean and clear and on a smaller, more manageable scale. During the summer months, a common activity involves launching whatever manner of floating craft you’ve got at Barber Park and making the several hours long float to the take out point at Ann Morrison Park. There are also a number of sandy beaches along the way that are good stopping points for lunch or a swim.
Here’s a little video of the trip!
