The YARDARM • Beach bar and permanent food truck located near the river in the fabulously weird Garden City. Summer only.
PAYETTE BREWING CO • Taproom with floor to ceiling windows that open out onto a large grassy lawn. Picnicking and lounging encouraged.
OWYHEE TAVERN • Bar and restaurant with large windows overlooking downtown streets. Originally a hotel built in 1910, the building is now home to apartments and a handful of businesses.
MODERN HOTEL & BAR • Fantastic patio—lots of seating, dog friendly, firepits. Good cocktails and food.
BASQUE MARKET • Patio. Open for lunch and dinner daily but the real show is every Wednesday and Friday at noon, when they prepare a paella on the patio and serve it up for $8.99 a plate.

LUCKY PEAK RESERVIOR • Rent pontoon boats and paddle boards at the general store. Swimming beach and gorgeous campsites (accessible only by water).
FLOAT THE BOISE RIVER • Easy three hour float down this cool and clear river located within the city limits. The route takes you from one park to another and is one of the best ways to spend a hot summer day in Boise.
