modulor berlin case

I don’t think I’ve ever written about Modulor. It’s an art store in Berlin but that description doesn’t really do it justice—think Home Depot vs your neighborhood hardware store. Two levels that house not just run-of-the-mill art supplies, but materials that will surprise and delight. Materials that inspire new ideas. Also there is a separate book store, cafe, print shop, sewing space, tool rental, and furniture store. Yeah.

We went in for googly eyes and walked out with this little number, which I just had to share because it was such a great deal and, as it says on their website, sehr praktisch. If the Germans label something as sehr praktisch, then you know it is so. It’s a pvc pouch lined with nylon webbing. One big pocket in the back perfectly fits my Moleskine watercolor sketchbook (29 x 21 cm) and three front pockets for pencils, brushes, etc. Plus it comes in different sizes and and configurations and could be used for all sorts of things. Modulor ships internationally, btw.

Find it here and more here.
